There I was with a novel and no extra means to work with my editor. Two options: Wait or do it myself. Well… I didn’t want to wait. With various writing projects and other responsibilities, I couldn’t afford to wait until things “got better.” I thought it was impossible, but I self revised my novel from beginning to end.
- “Yeah, but I’m not a professional.”
- “I don’t have enough knowledge to self revise.”
- “I’m too close to my work to know what’s wrong with it, right?”
You’re not by yourself thinking this. I did too, but with 2020 (no one expected it), working with a professional went out the window as other obligations took precedence. What was I supposed to do?
Plan B. Do it on my own. I invested in myself and it paid off. You can too!
Trust, I know what it feels like to have a novel with no clue where to start. You’ve written this book, but how do you take it from a raw manuscript to a polished work of art? Does that freak you out? Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered!
I’m going to share with you what I did. Download my C.P.S. Checklist! Start with the basics and you’ll be well on your way, fellow writers!
